One of 3 new Charge Tools from Leatherman. The Charge ALX has the same blade
combination as the Wave except the handles are smooth 6061-T6 aluminum with a
black Type III hard anodized coating rather than stainless steel. The other 2
Charge models vary slightly: The Charge AL is the non-hunters version with a scissors
in place of the hook knife. The Charge TTi has titanium handles so is lighter.
The
main difference between the Charge ALX and the Wave is in the apperance and in
the blade quality. The Charge uses a higher grade steel for the knife to ensure
better cutting and less need for resharpening. You also get a bit driver set and
a detachable lanyard ring with the Charge ALX.
